September is Suicide Prevention Month
The Depression and Suicide Prevention Parent Workshop in September, 2019 was a Success!
We had 30 parents who were very interested in this topic. Thank you to Mr. Sagredo, a mental health trainer with LAUSD for facilitating the workshop.
Thank you to our community rep, Valerie Cajero for reaching out to parents, organizing the event and providing coffee and treats.
Thank you to our Psychiatric Social Worker, Alexa Gonzales for organizing the event. If students ever want to talk, her door is always open!
Back to School Night, September, 2019
Back to School Night was a Success! (September 12, 2019)
We had a photo booth!
We had donations of free books for students and their families, thanks to the Junipero Serra Library and the Silverlake Library!
Ortho Student Volunteers read books to little brothers and sisters, made book-marks with them and played games with them too!
Ortho Student Volunteers also signed parents up for Schoology accounts!
Thank you to all the student volunteers, the parents and the public libraries for a successful event!
