LDC is excited to invite you to the Black Students Matter Initiative Town Hall Discussion on Monday, May 17, 2021. The discussion begins at 6:00 P.M.

The theme of the meeting is: College & Career: Pathways to Success for Black Students.” During this meeting, participants will engage in a panel discussion to further their understanding of potential college and career pathways for Black students. Learn more about the perspective of Black professionals from the post-secondary educational field and entrepreneurs in several exciting career fields. Everyone is welcome!

Appendix T2: Protocol for COVID-19 Exposure Management Plan in TK-12 Schools

Recent Updates: 3/11/2021
•Removed universal quarantine requirement for all individuals in the same cohort or classroom as an infected person during their infectious period.
•Updated criteria for quarantine exemption for vaccinated individuals to align with CDC guidance.

The purpose of this questionnaire is to let LAUSD know how your child will participate in instruction when schools reopen. All families will need to complete this Program Selection Form by Friday, March 19 so that we can adequately prepare to provide an instructional program that meets your child’s needs. Please note that if no response is received for your child, the default will be for your child to continue learning online. You will also have the option to change how your child will participate in instruction every two weeks after schools reopen by contacting your school.

Three things that need to be in place to get schools reopened:
 The highest standard of health and safety practices at schools
 Continued reduction in the spread of COVID-19 throughout the communities we serve
 Access to vaccinations for school staff

College Board is hosting virtual events for high school students to connect directly with college admissions representatives and take action on the most important steps for college.

How to Attend. You can register for any event and more than one.
You can attend all or parts of the event.

Who: This event is meant for high school sophomores and juniors, but younger and older students are welcome. We also encourage parents/guardians to join along with their students.
